I include this article because Kava kava has been a medicinal plant of some confusion regarding its safety.  In a nutshell, it is now assumed that the reason for the liver toxicity reported in some cases was due to the cheaper cultivare materials being used.  Simply be careful of your source.  Though at Wondrous Roots we do make an extract of this wonderfully beneficial plant and sell it in the shop, I do not include it on my webstore, as several years ago the bank I was using for processing sales canceled me because of it!  If you would like to purchase our extract, just shoot me a message via "contact us."
